Summer Porch and Patio Storage

Holly on keeping outdoor living usable: cushions, toys, citronella, and a porch that still looks like a porch.

It's Holly here.

We wait all year for these Michigan evenings on the porch. Then the space fills with deflated pool floats, five bottles of sunscreen, and a wagon. Outdoor rooms need systems too.

A weatherproof home for the extras

One bench with storage, or one lidded deck box. Cushions, bubbles, sidewalk chalk. If it does not fit, it does not stay on the porch.

Toys have a summer basket

A single basket for outdoor toys that can be hosed off. When it is full, we edit. Kids understand a full basket.

Keep a little beauty

A plant, a lantern, a place to set a glass. Organizing outdoors is not only about hiding things. It is about making the space worth sitting in.

If your patio currently doubles as a shed, we can give summer a real room.
