The Bathroom That Feels Like a Spa

Wendy on editing the under-sink chaos and building a bathroom that is as calm as it looks in the morning light.

Hi there, it's Wendy from Room to Grow.

Bathrooms collect products the way junk drawers collect batteries. Half of it is expired, a quarter of it was a hopeful experiment, and the rest is what you actually use — buried.

Edit like a hotel

If you would not put it in a guest bath, it may not need to live on the counter. Daily items get a tray. Backup bottles live in a bin under the sink.

Zones for a shared bath

His, hers, kids, guests. Even in a small vanity, small bins keep the peace. Labels help the people you live with put the cap back on.

A little empty counter

Leave space. A bathroom with a clear surface feels twice as large and three times as expensive. That is organizing, not remodeling.

We can do a bathroom in a morning. It is one of those projects that changes the temperature of the whole house.
