Paper Clutter and the Home Office
Wendy on taming the paper that still sneaks in — and giving the home office a system you can keep.

Hi there, it's Wendy from Room to Grow.
We have been talking about digital clutter for years, and yet the paper still arrives. School forms, insurance, manuals, the drawing your niece made. A home office is usually where all of it goes to wait.
Three homes for paper
Act. File. Recycle. That is the whole taxonomy. A vertical file for the week, a labeled drawer for the year, a shredder for the rest. Magical piles are just delayed decisions.
The desk is for working
If the desk is for stacking, you will never sit down. Keep the surface to a lamp, a tray, and what you are doing today. Everything else gets a home that is not the desktop.
Manuals and warranties go digital
Photograph them, file them, recycle the booklet. Your future self looking for a dishwasher filter will thank you.
A two-hour office session changes how a house feels. If yours has become a storage unit with a chair, we should talk.
